    NEET is a pre-medical entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency in order to invite admission for MBBS, BDS, and other paramedical courses in India.

    National Eligibility cum entrance test is the only pre-medical entrance test conducted annually for medical aspirants to take admission in medical colleges for MBBS and BDS in India.

    Around 16 lakh students compete in this NEET test in order to get admission in medical colleges for MBBS and BDS courses in India. Generally, AIIMS and JIPMER are two other pre-medical entrance tests that invite admission for MBBS and other paramedical courses. But according to new rules both exams are canceled and the admission to AIIMS and JIPMER medical colleges will also happen through NEET.

     NEET Eligibility Criteria 2021 

     

    The eligibility criteria for the NEET 2021 as per the NTA are as follow. The NEET aspirant candidates are advised to check the criteria before applying for the exam. Those who stand perfect in the following parameters can apply and appear in the NEET exam.          

     Nationality

    The Nationality for the candidates needs to be:

    • Indian
    • Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)
    • A person with Indian Origin (PIOs)
    • Overseas Citizen of India
    • Foreign Nationals

    If you belong to any of the above nationalities, you are allowed to apply for this NEET exam.

     Age Limit

     

    The candidate should be above the age of 17 years by December 31, 2021. There is no upper limit of age to apply for the NEET exam.

     Minimum qualification

     

    The NEET aspirant candidate must have cleared or are appearing in the exam for Class 12 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as a mandatory subject from the authorized board.

    Those candidates who have passed the class 12 and equivalent exam having Biology as additional subjects can also apply for this exam.

     Minimum Marks

     

    • The minimum mark for the General category student in the qualifying examination is 50%.
    • The minimum mark for PWD category students in the qualifying examination is 45%.
    • The minimum mark for SC/ST/OBC category students in the qualifying examination is 40%.

     NEET 2021 admission process

     

    The process for NEET 2021 admission begins with the filling of the admission form, modifying the form (If any), get the admit card, appear in the exam, get the result, appear for the counseling, fill the choice for the medical colleges, and in the last report to the allocated medical institute for the final admission.

    Registration and the Application process

The application process will be online but those who are residents of Kashmir, Leh, and Kargil might be allowed to send the application form offline. The NEET aspirant candidates need to fill the application form before the deadline in order to appear in the entrance test exam.

     

     How to fill the application form for NEET 2021?

    1. Visit the www.ntaneet.nic.in and register for the NEET entrance exam 2021.
    2. Fill in all the mandatory information in the online application form.
    3. Upload the documents required in the form like a scanned copy of the signature, photograph. Left-thumb impression, mark sheet or 10th board, mark sheet of 12th board, etc.
    4. Pay the required application fees
    5. Now take the printout of the confirmation page.

    The mode for paying the application fees is online. Candidates can pay using a debit card, credit card, UPI, Net banking, or E-challan.

     

     NEET 2021 Correction window

     

    The activation date for the correction window of the NEET exam is expected to be the last week of April or the 1 week of May. With this correction window, the candidate will get the option to make corrections in their application form, if any.

     

     NEET 2021 Admit card

     

    The admit care for the NEET entrance exam is expected to release by the first week of July. Candidates can download their admit card from the official NTA website by logging into their registered account.

    After downloading the admit card, take the color printout of the admit card. Paste the colour recent picture of the candidate in the provided space. There might be a need for a self-attested admit card in order to appear in the exam.

     

     NEET 2021 exam date and Exam mode

     

    NTA has announced the Exam date for NEET 2021 to be 1 August 2021. The exam for the NEET entrance test will be conducted on 1 August 2021 in an offline mode.

    The duration for the exam will be three hours and there will be a total of 180 objective type questions, 45 from physics, 45 from chemistry, and 90 from biology (Botany and Zoology).

    NEET 2021 exam day guidelines

     

    This is the main day for every medical aspirant student. In order to make the day successful, along with confidence and full preparation, there is a need to follow the exam guidelines also.

     

     What to carry on the exam day?

     

    The candidate will need to carry the following documents to the exam center:

    • Admit card for NEET 2021Two passport size color photographs (Same as in the application form)
    • A valid Photo-ID proof (Driving license, Adhaar card, Passport, PAN card)
    • PWD Certificate (if any)

     

     What not to carry?

     

    Also make, sure you are not having the following things in the exam center on the exam day:

    • Any notes/ stationary study material other than pen
    • Calculator, mobile, or any other electronic gadget
    • Wallets, Google, smart watch, etc
    • Any other item that can be used in unfair methods

     Dress code for the NEET aspirants on the exam day

     

    The candidates will need to follow the dress code on the exam day which is as follow:

    • Light colored cloth with half or no sleeves
    • No ornaments
    • Slippers and sandals with low heels are permitted. No shoes will be allowed in the exam.

    Reporting time on the NEET 2021 exam day

    The candidates should report to the examination center 1 hour before the exam time.

    NEET 2021 Provisional Answer key

    The provisional answer key by the official NTA website is expected to be released by he second week of August 2021. Candidates will be allowed to challenge the answer key in the case when they have authentic evidence to support the claim.

     

    NEET 2021 result

    The result for the NEET 2021 is expected to be announced by the last week of August, 2021. Candidates can download their scorecard from the official website by entering their roll number or logging into the registered account.

     

     NEET 2021 cut off

    Following are the cut-off predefined by the Medical Council of India:

    The students with marks above the cut off as per their category will be eligible for the counseling process only. The allotment of seats will be based on merit.
