    MBBS Syllabus at St. Petersburg State Pediatric University

    The first five years of the course are dedicated to learning various subjects such as biology, medical physics, chemistry, biochemistry, human anatomy, histology, physiology, and others. The final year, which is an internship,  is designed to help students put all the learning from previous years into practical use.  

     

    The first year of education is focused around anatomy and histology. 

     

    The second year of education covers a range of important subjects such as histology, biochemistry, psychology and pedagogy, microbiology, cell biology, and pathology.

     

    The third-year offers detailed guidance and understanding of pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, genetics, and the principle of clinical medicine.

     

    The fourth and fifth years are the most crucial period. During these years, the student gets a comparable knowledge of internal and emergency medicine, study and practice general surgery. In addition to these, they also learn about oncology, pediatrics, neurology, cardiology, obstetrics, and gynecology.

     

    The 6th and the final year is when the students put all their learning into work during the 1 yr internship program. Internships are mandatory and every student must enroll for an internship to complete their MBBS program.
