Named after one of the wealthiest cities in imperial China, the Yangzhou University was established in 1902. At the time, a total of six colleges were merged to form the now globally renowned university.

From the six colleges that formed the union, the college of Medicine Yangzhou University evolved out of Yangzhou Medical College,  which started as Subei Health School in 1958. The School of Medicine of Yangzhou University also happens to be the first medical school in China to introduce Gynecology and Obstetrics.

Currently, the  Yangzhou University offers 110 undergraduate courses across 12 disciplines. The University is also home to a large community of international students.       Start The Registration

      Fill the application form and submit all required documents for verification. If your application is accepted, the YZU admission committee will issue an admission letter.

      Submit Fees

      Upon receiving the admission letter, you must deposit the initial fee to book your seat. The fee is non-refundable, and the candidate must deposit the fees within 7 days from the receipt of the admission letter.

      Get Invitation Letter

      Once the fees are submitted, the university will issue an invitation letter to confirm your MBBS admission. The university will also issue a Visa Application Form(JW202) in your name.

      Get Your Visa

      The candidate must fill and submit the JW202 along with the university invitation letter at the respective Chinese embassy in his/her region. The embassy will issue a VISA permit within 10-15 days.

    2. Scored 50% or more in PCB(12th standard)

    Admission Intake: Yangzhou University

    Students can enroll either for summer MBBS batches or winter MBBS batches at YZU.

     

    The application process for summer batches begins in January. Candidates must complete the registration process before the last week of February. It is always wise to complete the application process and submit all the required documents before the last week of January.

     

    The application process for winter batches begins in the first week of June. Students must complete the application process and submit all documents before August. Classes commence from September-October.

    MBBS Duration at Yangzhou University

     

    The duration of the MBBS course at YZU is 6-years (including 1 Year compulsory internship at a University-affiliated hospital). Each academic year is divided into two sessions and an assessment is done at the end of each semester. Here’s a brief overview of the MBBS curriculum:

    First Year: During the first year, students learn about Embryology, Histology, & Embryology.

    Second Year: Subjects taught during the second year include Histology, General Pathology, Cytobiology, Micro-Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Physiology, Anatomy, and more.

    Third year: The third is a crucial stage in MBBS studies. Subjects taught during this academic year include Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Genetics, Pathophysiology, and Principles of Clinical Medicine.

    Fourth & Fifth Year: The remaining academic years cover a range of subjects including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Neurology, Primary Care Medicine, Oncology, Psychiatry, General Surgery, ENT, Psychology, Emergency Medicine, and Cardiology.

    Sixth Year (Internship): After the completion of the 5-years, students are required to serve a mandatory 1-year internship at a YZU approved hospital or medical care center. The internship is an opportunity to get first-hand practical experience.
