    Dr. Sirajul Islam Medical College offers a five-year MBBS course. Following the completion of the 5-years, MBBS students must complete 1 year of internship as well. 

    The MBBS course curriculum is subdivided into 4 phases. The first and the fourth phase has a duration of 1 year and 6 months. The second and third phases have a duration of 1 year each. Here’s a brief overview of the syllabus taught during the 4 phases:

    Phase-1 (1 Year and Six Months)

    Covers subjects like Genetics, Research Methodology, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Histology & Micro-technique, Geometry, etc.

    Phase-2 (1 Year)

    Subjects taught during the year-long session include History Of Medicine, Forensic medicine, Preventive medicine, Community medicine, Histology, Psychiatry, Biochemistry, etc.

    Phase-3 (1 Year)

    The third phase covers subjects like Microbiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Neuroscience, Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Pharmacology, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, etc.

    Phase-4 (1 Year Six Months)

    Phase 4 covers the final years of the MBBS course. Subjects covered include Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, Emergency Medicine, Ophthalmology, and other allied subjects. 

     

    Once the students complete the course curriculum, he or she must undergo a 1-year internship at university-affiliated medical centers.
