Founded in 1944, Bukovinian State Medical University is one of the most prestigious centers for higher medical education in Ukraine. The university has been conferred with 4th level accreditation by the Ministry of Health in Ukraine.     Eligibility Criteria: Bukovinian State Medical University

     

    Following is the eligibility criteria for the 6-year MBBS course at Bukovinian State Medical University:

    The university has both summer and winter intakes. Summer intakes start in September – October. The number of applicants are particularly high during this time of the year. The admission process starts as early as June. 

     

    However, students who for some reason fail to make into the summer batches can apply for winter intakes. These batches ideally commence from Feb-Mar each year and the deadline for application is August-September

    First Year: The first year is non-clinical and teaches students the fundamentals of medical science. During the two semesters, students learn about Human Anatomy, Histology, Medical Biology, History of Medicine, and Genetics.

    Second Year: The second-year program covers pathology and pharmacology. Students learn in detail about Biochemistry, Microbiology, Economics, Normal Physiology, Physiology, and Logics.

    Third year: The third-year course is dedicated to pathological anatomy and physiology. In addition to these topics like Radial diagnostics and radial therapy, General & Operative surgery, Pharmacology, and medical dispensing of medicine are also studied.

    Fourth Year: The fourth-year is dedicated to learning about diseases, medicine, and medical psychology. During the semesters’ students learn about medical genetics, Radiative medicine, Endocrinology, physiotherapy, Dermatovenerol diseases, Nervous diseases, remedial gymnastics, etc.

    Fifth Year: The fifth-year course deals with Forensic medicine, Paediatrics Surgery, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Infectious and tropical diseases, Occupational diseases, Neurosurgery, Autopsy, Immunology, and Anesthesiology.
