Students are not required to appear for any specific entrance exam. Indian students can apply for admission directly based on their NEET qualification score. To be eligible, the student must be at least  17 years of age and scored a minimum of 50% marks in the PCB in class 12th standard. English is absolutely essential with at least minimum passing marks.

The 6th and final year are when the students put all their learning into work during the 1 yr internship program. Internships are mandatory and every student must enroll for an internship to complete their MBBS program.

BSMU accepts admissions two times a year. Overseas students can apply for either summer intakes or winter intakes. Traditionally, summer intakes, September – October, see more applications. The admission process starts as early as June.

If candidates for some reason miss out on the summer intakes, they can apply for the winter intakes as well. These batches start from Feb-Mar and the application process commences from August and lasts till September.
